InterfaceOS is very easy to use.
If you are familiar with a Web Browser, managing Folders and Files, using a Word Processor, Spreadsheet,
or even ChatGPT, you are ready to go
InterfaceOS has no more than 3 mouse clicks to start any program
If you need some help, there are 40 Youtube “Interface How To….” videos available online
How much does InterfaceOS Suite Cost?
The retail price is $57.50 NZD
There is a promotional price of $99.00 NZD including installation, if you have InterfaceOS installed by a reseller
Discounts are available for Corporate, Government, Education, and Charities based on the category, and volume
What is the Licensing?
InterfaceOS Suite is a perpetual one time cost License with no expiration, and no activation required

INSTALLATION
Can I install InterfaceOS suite myself?
Yes you can. However we recommend that you contact your IT Provider to assist,
if you are not technically minded
What Media does InterfaceOS come on?
USB 32GB wooden swivel drive (Recycleable)
What versions of InterfaceOS suite are available?
A Desktop version and a Laptop Version. The Laptop version has a battery monitor,
Can I download my own programs?
You can download your own programs.
However the process to create an Icon on the Menu Bar is not simple,
and may require an IT professional to assist
Do you provide installation instructions?
Installation instructions are provided on USB Drive
How does the installation process work?
You insert the Kauricone InterfaceOS USB Drive into the target computer
You interrupt the Boot Process
You select the options presented by Clonezilla
Clonezilla erases all of the data from the current drive, and overwrites the drive with InterfaceOS Suite
Is all of my existing Data overwritten when I upgrade to InterfaceOS suite?
Yes all data is overwritten. You must make a backup of your existing data which you want to keep.
Either to another drive, or cloud.
After the upgrade to InterfaceOS, documents and data can be transferred back to the upgraded Computer
SOFTWARE
Are the Office Application programs compatible with other Office Application programs?
Yes. We use Libre Office for Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Presentations.
These can be saved, in industry compatible formats
Can I install my own Web Browser?
Yes you can, but its not recommended. Firefox works perfectly well
How secure is InterfaceOS Suite?
InterfaceOS suite is designed with maximum Linux based security
Do I need to purchase Antivirus Software?
No
Can I install Shortcut Icons on my Desktop?
No
Do Kauricone provide regular updates to InterfaceOS?
No
Where can I Backup my Programs and Data?
InterfaceOS Backup allows you to backup locally or to the Cloud
HARDWARE
Which computer models can be upgraded to InterfaceOS?
IntefaceOS has been tested on Dell, HP, Lenovo desktops and Laptops, and requires a Screen resolution of 1920*1080
Is InterfaceOS suite available on new Computers?
InterfaceOS suite can be purchased on a small range of new All-in-One Desktops from Kauricone.com website
What are the minimum Hardware requirements?
InterfaceOS runs on 4GB RAM, and 32GB Storage. We have tested InterfaceOS on a range of HP and Lenovo thin clients and it runs well with these specifications, but applications like GIMP push the limits, and it is often easier to upgrade the storage to say 256GB Solid State Drive (SSD)
Which processors does InterfaceOS Suite work with?
AMD, ARM, and Intel. All early development of InterfaceOS was done on ARM processors, but currently we have found that AMD and Intel works best
What Generation Processors does InterfaceOS work with?
InterfaceOS works with a range of old and new Generation processors.
How do I connect to my Network?
The Network Icon in the Status bar allows you to select your local WiFi network, or wired network
What Printers are supported?
There is a range of printers supported by default in InterfaceOS.

For less common printers, drivers may have to be downloaded, and we recommend you use an IT Professional to assist
Are USB drives automatically detected when they are inserted?
